National Geographic Kids goes wild

Two ACTF-distributed wildlife programs; World Animal Championships (WAC) and Bushwhacked! have been acquired by National Geographic Kids US.

Bushwhacked! and WAC really capture the kind of programming we want to focus on for our new digital channel in the US - funny, factual and fit for the curious, tween-aged child!” said Emma Rigney, Creative Producer at NG Kids' Video Platforms.

Both series will be available on National Geographic Kids digital as well as on Roku and their YouTube channel.

The 52-episode factual entertainment series WAC is produced by Blacklab Entertainment and the 26-episode adventure/ documentary program Bushwhacked! is produced by Mint Pictures.

The ACTF distributes WAC and Bushwhacked! internationally.

WAC is a fast packed show which sees animals great and small go head-to-head for wildlife supremacy.

Bushwhacked follows Kayne Tremills with Indigenous co-host Brandon Walters (Series 1) and Kamil Ellis (Series 2) as they journey to remote corners of Australia, where they meet weird and wonderful wildlife and learn about Indigenous rites and rituals.

A third series of Bushwhacked! is currently in production.
